PRESIDENT CLINTON PARTICIPATES IN VETERANS DAY CEREMONIES Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA November 11, 2000 Today, President Clinton will honor our nation's veterans during
Veterans Day events at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. The President will participate in a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns. He will then address the Veterans Day memorial service at Memorial Amphitheater.
Administration officials in attendance will include Secretary of Defense William Cohen, Acting Secretary of Veterans Affairs Hershel Gober, Secretary of Transportation Rodney Slater, Secretary of Health and Human Services Donna Shalala, and Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency James Lee Witt. The audience of 5,000 also will include members of Congress, military leadership, members of local and national veterans organizations, and crew members from the USS Cole.
