STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY

At the invitation of President Clinton, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh will visit Washington on October 17. The Prime Minister will meet with the President and other senior Administration officials to review bilateral, regional and global issues. We see this visit, following the President's trip to Dhaka in March, as an opportunity to broaden further our ties with Bangladesh.
