PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES RANDOLPH J. AGLEY AS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CORPORATION FOR NATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE
The President today announced his intent to nominate Randolph J. Agley to serve as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation for National and Community Service.
Mr. Randolph J. Agley, of Detroit, Michigan, serves as Chairman of the Board of Talon LLC, a Detroit-based investment and management company, which he co-founded in 1973. Previously, he was a Manager in the small business division of the accounting firm of Arthur Anderson. Mr. Agley serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Karmanos Cancer Institute and on the boards of the Detroit Renaissance, the Economic Club of Detroit, the Detroit Regional Chamber, and the Detroit Medical Center. He previously served on the boards of Walsh College, the Arts Foundation of Michigan and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Agley was appointed by President Reagan to serve on the St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation Advisory Board from 1988-1992.
Mr. Agley received B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Michigan. The Corporation for National and Community Service provides
opportunities for Americans of all ages to help communities meet critical challenges in the areas of education, public safety, human needs, and the environment. The Corporation oversees three national service initiatives: AmeriCorps, the National Senior Service Corps, and Learn & Serve America.
