PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES TONI FAY TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE

CORPORATION FOR NATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE

The President today announced his intent to nominate Toni Fay to serve as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Ms. Toni G. Fay, of Englewood, New Jersey, has worked for TIME WARNER, INC. since 1982 and currently serves as Senior Advisor after recently announcing her retirement as Vice President of Community Relations. Previously, Ms. Fay was Regional Commissioner for the Governor's Council on Drug and Alcohol Abuse in Pennsylvania, Director of Programs and Development for the National Council of Negro Women. Ms. Fay is a board member of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, United Way of Bergen County, Apollo Theater Foundation, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Institute, National Hospice Foundation, and the National Institute for Literacy. She previously served on the boards of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, U.S. Committee for UNICEF, the Girls Scouts of New York City, and the National Council of Negro Women.

Ms. Fay received a B.A. degree from Duquesne University, and M.S.W. and M.Ed. degrees from the University of Pittsburgh.

The Corporation for National and Community Service is a public-private partnership that provides opportunities for Americans of all ages to help communities meet critical challenges in the areas of education, public safety, human needs, and the environment. The Corporation oversees three national service initiatives: Americorps, the National Senior Service Corps, and Learn & Serve America.
