Cole
to the Advisory Committee to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.
Mr. Charles H. Cole, of Oakton, Virginia, is a retired business executive, having worked in the Human Resources field for Mobil Oil Corporation (now ExxonMobil) for 38 years. From 1979 to 1996, Mr. Cole served as Manager of Compensation, Benefits & Policy Development for Mobil's worldwide Exploration & Producing Division. Earlier, from 1959 to 1979, he held a series of managerial and staff positions in the Human Resources function, in many US locations and abroad.
A native of Magnolia, Arkansas, Mr. Cole received a B.S., magna cum laude, in Business Administration and a MBA from the University of Arkansas.
The Advisory Committee to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) advises the Corporation on its policies and procedures relating to the appointment of trustees in termination proceedings, the investment of monies, schedules for the liquidation of terminated pension plans and such other issues as the Corporation may periodically request. The PBGC focuses primarily upon the Corporation's investments, regulations, insurance program and the defined benefit pension system.
