                      VICE PRESIDENT GORE TO MEET
                  WITH PRESIDENT KOCHARIAN OF ARMENIA

Vice President Gore will meet with the President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, in Washington on June 26. He will also host a lunch in honor of Armenia's President.

The Vice President plans to review the progress of the U.S.-Armenian Joint Task Force with President Kocharian, and to discuss regional issues, among them American support for the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and the restoration of economic ties among the countries of the Caucasus. They will also discuss joint efforts to promote Armenian democracy, security, and economic recovery.
