TIPPER GORE TO ANNOUNCE PUBLIC EDUCATION CAMPAIGN TO REDUCE STIGMA ATTACHED TO MENTAL HEALTH On the one-year anniversary of the White House Conference on Mental
Health, Tipper Gore, mental health advisor to the president, will announce the formation of the National Mental Health Awareness Campaign, a public/private partnership formed to eradicate the stigma associated with mental health. The event will be held Wednesday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m. in Room 450 of the Old Executive Office Building.
Mrs. Gore will be joined by Al Guida, Executive Director of the National Mental Health Awareness Campaign and representatives of MTV: Music Television, the Ad Council, and the American Psychological Association.
