STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY

The President will meet with Argentine President Fernando de la Rua on June 13 in the Oval Office. The meeting, the centerpiece of President de la Rua's first official working visit to Washington since his inauguration in December 1999, will also involve a working lunch with the President. The broad range of our close and important relationship with this respected ally will be covered during the meeting. This will be the third time the two Presidents have met. They met in Davos, Switzerland, in January at the World Economic Forum, and will meet in Berlin on June 2-3 at the "Conference on Progressive Governance for the 21st Century."
