STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY

On April 12, the President will travel to Denver, Colorado, where he will attend a rally in support of stronger gun laws. The President will highlight his support for a Colorado ballot initiative that would close the gun show loophole by requiring background checks and record keeping on all firearms sales at gun shows in the state. The rally is sponsored by S.A.F.E. Colorado (Sane Alternatives to Firearms Epidemic) , a bipartisan political action group formed in the aftermath of the Columbine tragedy.
