                 VICE PRESIDENT ANNOUNCES JODI SAKOL'S
                  RETURN TO THE COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE

     Washington, DC --Vice President Gore today announced that Jodi

Sakol, former Deputy Press Secretary, will return to the Office of the Vice President as Deputy Director of Communications, replacing Julie Green Bataille.

"I am very pleased that Jodi Sakol is returning to my staff to help coordinate and implement my communications strategy," Vice President Gore said. "Jodi's experience with strategic planning, events, and press relations will greatly benefit our communications office --it's great to have her back on the team."

Ms. Sakol most recently served as Director of Business and Public Liaison for the US Department of Treasury, where she coordinated all Treasury negotiations with the business community, as well as all of the Department's public events.

Before working at the U.S. Department of Treasury, Ms. Sakol served as Deputy Press Secretary in the Office of the Vice President, where she served as a spokesperson for Vice President Gore. Ms. Sakol also served as Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Prior to that Ms. Sakol served as the Press Secretary for Congressman Martin Frost's Campaign Committee.
