                     VICE PRESIDENT GORE ANNOUNCES
                KIMBERLIN LOVE AS DEPUTY PRESS SECRETARY

     Washington, DC -- Vice President Gore today announced that

Kimberlin Love, former Communications Director and Legislative Assistant for Congressman Earl. F. Hilliard, will join the communications staff as Deputy Press Secretary, replacing Alejandro Cabrera.

"I am very pleased that Kimberlin Love will be joining our staff," Vice President Gore said. "Kimberlin is an incredibly talented individual, whose experience with Congressman Hilliard and General Colin Powell will be a valuable asset to my communications team."

Prior to joining the Vice President's office, Ms. Love was instrumental in developing and managing Congressman Hilliard's overall media strategy. She also served as a legislative advisor on Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Native Americans as well as African and Caribbean policy.

Ms. Love's previous media experience involves working as a public relations coordinator for America's Promise -- The Alliance for Youth, where she produced the bi-weekly America's Promise Bulletin, managed the America's Promised Newsletter and advanced events for General Colin Powell. Additionally, she has worked as a producer and a freelance writer for several local newspapers.
