STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY

President Clinton extended an invitation to President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt for an Official Working Visit in Washington on March 28, which President Mubarak has accepted. The visit provides an opportunity to strengthen the close partnership and cooperation between Egypt and the United States on bilateral and international issues.

President Mubarak will be meeting with Vice President Gore to continue their work on the U.S.-Egypt Partnership for Economic Growth and Development.
