On this last holiday season of the 20th Century, I believe in my heart that the next century can be a time when all our children grow up healthy and strong; when all our children feel loved and connected; when we respect and transcend our differences -- and when there is "room at the inn" for every member of the American family.

Tipper and I wish you a holiday season full of peace and joy. May God bless you, and have a very happy New Year.
