        PRESIDENT CLINTON NOMINATES ENRIQUE MORENO AND KATHLEEN
                   McCREE LEWIS TO THE FEDERAL BENCH

     The President today nominated Enrique Moreno to the U.S. Court of

Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Kathleen McCree Lewis to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Enrique Moreno, of El Paso, Texas, has been a sole practitioner at the Law Offices of Enrique Moreno since July 1999. Prior to establishing his own practice, Moreno was a partner at Moreno & Fry from 1987 to 1999; a shareholder at Kemp, Smith, Duncan & Hammond, P.C. in 1987; and an associate at Kemp, Smith, Duncan & Hammond, P.C. from 1981 to 1986. He received his A.B. in 1978 from Harvard College and his J.D. in 1981 from Harvard Law School.

Kathleen McCree Lewis, of Detroit, Michigan, has been affiliated with Dykema Gossett as an associate and then partner since 1973. She received her B.A. in 1969 from the University of Michigan and her J.D. in 1973 from the University of Michigan Law School.
