STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY

The President has named Mark F. Lindsay as Assistant to the President for Management and Administration and Bradley J. Kiley as Deputy Assistant to the President for Management and Administration. They will direct all management and administration functions of the entire Executive Office of the President.

Mark Lindsay joined the Executive Office of the President in 1997, serving as General Counsel for the Office of Administration. In December 1998, he became Director of the Office of Administration, and in June 1999, he was named Deputy Assistant to the President for Management and Administration. Mr. Lindsay clerked for a United States District Court Judge, and he was a litigation attorney with the law firms of Arter & Hadden, Dorsey & Whitney and Schiff, Harden & Waite. In addition, he served as Senior Counsel to Representative Louis Stokes (D-OH). Mr. Lindsay received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, his M.A.L.S. degree in International Affairs from Georgetown University, and his B.A. from Macalester College. Mr. Lindsay is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife, Carla Morris Lindsay.

Bradley J. Kiley joins the White House staff as Mr. Lindsay's deputy. Mr. Kiley has held several key posts at the Democratic National Committee (DNC), most recently serving as Director of Operations. Mr. Kiley also served as Director of Finance and Administration at the DNC. In addition, he is former Chief of Staff for the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL). Prior to joining NARAL, he served as Director of Revenue for the Presidential Inaugural Committee. Mr. Kiley received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Christian University. He resides in Bethesda, Maryland.
