PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES WILLIAM K. REILLY AS MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF

DIRECTORS OF THE PRESIDIO TRUST

The President today announced his intention to appoint William K. Reilly as a member of the Board of Directors of the Presidio Trust.

Mr. William K. Reilly, of San Francisco, California, is the former Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency under President George Bush, who has served on the Board of Directors since 1997. He is presently President and CEO of Aqua International Partners, a private equity fund sponsored by the U.S. Overseas Private Investment Corporation, which finances water improvements and water sector industries in developing countries. He serves on the boards of Yale University, National Geographic Society, the Packard Foundation, World Wildlife Fund, Conoco, Royal Caribbean International and the Dupont Company.

Mr. Reilly is a graduate of Yale University and received his J.D. from Harvard University. He also received a master's degree in urban planning from Columbia University. From 1966 to 1967, Mr. Reilly served as a U.S. Army Captain.

The Presidio, part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, is the oldest continuously operated military post in the United States (dating from 1776), as well as a designated National Historic Landmark. In 1996, an act of Congress signed by the President created the Board of Directors of the Presidio Trust for the purpose of managing the resources of Presidio in a manner consistent with sound principles of land use planning and management.
