                PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES GREGORY L. CRAIG 
              AS A MEMBER OF THE PRESIDENT'S EXPORT COUNCIL

The President today announced his intent to appoint Gregory L. Craig to the President's Export Council.

Mr. Gregory Craig, of Los Angeles, California, is the President and Founder of Cook Inlet Energy Supply, a fully integrated North American energy marketing company with sales in excess of one billion dollars. An Alaskan native, Mr. Craig has held several positions within Cook Inlet Region, Incorporated and its subsidiaries. Mr. Craig was appointed by the Secretary of Energy to the National Petroleum Council in 1997. He serves on the Los Angeles Community Advisory Panel to Pacific Enterprises, is an active member of the Minority Business Roundtable at the United States Department of Energy, and is a volunteer for the Centinela Healthcare Foundation in Los Angeles.

Mr. Craig holds a Bachelor of Administration degree from the University of Alaska and his Master of Business Administration from the University of California at Los Angeles.

The President's Export Council, established within the Department of Commerce, advises the President on matters related to export performance and develops policy guidance.
