PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES JOSEPH (JODY) TRAPASSO AS A MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY ADJUSTMENT AND INVESTMENT PROGRAM ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The President today announced his intent to appoint Joseph (Jody) Trapasso as a Member of the Community Adjustment and Investment Program Advisory Committee.
Mr. Joseph (Jody) Trapasso, of Arlington, Virginia, has been a Partner in Wunder, Knight, Thelen, Forscey & DeVierno, a Washington, D.C. law firm. Mr. Trapasso specializes in international, environmental, and telecommunications matters. From July 1993 to February 1994, Mr. Trapasso served as a Senior Legislative Affairs Officer at the State Department. From January to July 1993, Mr. Trapasso served as Assistant Counsel to the President for the Office of Presidential Personnel. From 1990 to 1992, Mr. Trapasso worked as an associate at Patton, Boggs L.L.P.
Mr. Trapasso received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Connecticut College.
The Community Adjustment and Investment Program Advisory Committee advises the President regarding the implementation of the Community Adjustment and Investment Program established as part of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Such guidance will include guidelines to be established for loans and loan guarantees, needs for adjustment assistance, and investment in support of the goals and objectives of NAFTA.
