                 VICE PRESIDENT GORE NAMES KEVIN MACK
                    DIRECTOR OF POLITICAL PLANNING

Washington, DC -- Vice President Gore announced today that Kevin Mack will join the Office of the Vice President next month as Director of Political Planning.

"I am very pleased Kevin Mack will soon be working with me," Vice President Gore said. "Kevin stands on a strong record of achievement and is well known by his friends and colleagues for his intelligence, his hard work, his dedication to the issues of importance to America's families, and his strategic acumen. I am confident he will prove a great addition to my team."

Currently, Mr. Mack serves as Executive Director of the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC). Before working at the DLCC, Mr. Mack served as Northeast Field Director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. He also worked for the Virginia Democratic Caucus and the Virginia Environmental Network.

A graduate of Old Dominion University, Mr. Mack served as campaign manager for Representative Norman Sisisky, a Virginia Democrat, and campaign manager for the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee. He also managed several other campaigns.
