Today the President will award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Zachary Fisher. The text of the citation reads as follows:

ZACHARY FISHER

A true American patriot, Zachary Fisher has shown extraordinary devotion to our men and women in uniform. With selfless compassion, he has enhanced the lives of service members, veterans, and their families through a wide array of philanthropic activities. From the magnificent preservation of the INTREPID to the highly regarded Fisher Houses, the Armed Services Scholarship Foundation, and the model Child Care Development Center at Camp Pendleton, Zachary Fisher's generosity towards our military families is unsurpassed in our Nation's history. Through his efforts, Zachary Fisher has helped repay the debt all Americans owe to our Armed Forces and has honored the service that preserves our Nation's treasured freedoms.
