Tipper and I were saddened to hear of the death of country music singer Tammy Wynette.

As the grande dame of the country music scene in Nashville and around the country, Tammy Wynette entertained nearly four decades of country music fans with her songs of love and heartbreak. She served as an inspiration to today's rising generation of young stars and can be credited with the crossover appeal that country music enjoyed in recent years. Her fans, including Tipper and I, will miss her greatly.
