PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES BRIAN SCOTT ROY AS UNITED STATES MARSHAL FOR THE WESTERN DISTRICT OF KENTUCKY
The President today announced his intent to nominate Brian Scott Roy as United States Marshal for the Western District of Kentucky.
Mr. Brian Scott Roy, of Benton, Kentucky, has been the elected Sheriff of Marshall County, Kentucky since 1981. For four years prior, he was Deputy Sheriff of Marshall County. Mr. Roy is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He received a B.S. degree from Murray State University.
The United States Marshal Service is responsible for providing support and protection for the Federal courts, apprehending Federal fugitives, operating the Federal Witness Security program, maintaining custody of and transporting Federal prisoners, and responding to emergency crisis situations.
