PRESIDENT CLINTON NOMINATES ROBERT DAWSON TO THE FEDERAL BENCH
The President today nominated Robert Dawson to be a United States District Court Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.
Mr. Dawson, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, received his B.A. degree in 1960, from the University of Arkansas, and an LL.B degree in 1965, from the University of Arkansas Law School. He was admitted to the Arkansas State Bar in 1965. He served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1962, and the Arkansas National Guard from 1962 to 1965. Since 1965, Dawson has been in the practice of law as an associate and partner with the Hardin Law Firm, currently known as Hardin, Dawson & Terry.
