PRESIDENT CLINTON NOMINATES TWO TO THE FEDERAL BENCH

President Clinton today nominated Edward F. Shea to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington, and Dale A. Kimball to the United States District Court for the District of Utah.

Edward F. Shea received his college degree from Boston State College in 1965, and his law degree from Georgetown University in 1970. After law school, he clerked for Judge Harold Petrie of the Washington State Supreme Court before entering private practice. He has been in private practice since 1971, and is currently a partner at Shea, Kuffel & Klashke.

Dale A. Kimball received his college degree from Brigham Young University in 1964, and his law degree from the University of Utah Law School in 1967. Kimball has been in private practice since 1967 and has been a partner in the firm of Kimball, Parr, Waddoups, Brown & Gee since 1975. Kimball recently received the Utah Bar Association's 1996 Distinguished Lawyer of the Year award.
