STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY

President to Meet with Australian Prime Minister

The White House has announced that Australian Prime Minister John Howard will be in the United States June 25-July 1. He will meet with President Clinton at the White House on June 27. The President and the Prime Minister will discuss a range of regional and bilateral issues building on their discussions last November. The President looks forward to reciprocating the warm welcome he and Mrs. Clinton received from the Australian people and government during his visit last November.
