STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY

Visit by the President to London

In connection with his trip to the Netherlands May 28 for the U.S.-EU Summit and the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Marshall Plan, the President has accepted an invitation to stop in London to meet with newly elected British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The schedule for the visit and meeting has yet to be finalized. This will be the President's first meeting with Prime Minister Blair since he took office.
