PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES JEAN A. RIEZMAN TO THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON THE ARTS OF THE JOHN F. KENNEDY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS

The President announced today his intent to appoint Jean A. Riezman to the Advisory Committee on the Arts of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Jean A. Riezman of St. Louis, Missouri, is a volunteer who has dedicated her time and energy promoting education and youth activities. Ms. Riezman is currently a member of the Board of Directors of The Nursery Foundation, the first inter-racial day care center in the St. Louis area, and has served as the board's Secretary and Vice President. In addition, she is Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Rohan Woods School, and is a member of the Center for Contemporary Arts and the Gifted Resource Center. She is also the past Chair and Treasurer of the Greater St. Louis Book Fair. Ms. Riezman earned a B.A. from the University of Missouri at Columbia.

The Advisory Committee on the Arts of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is charged with advising and consulting with the Board of Trustees for the Center. In addition, the members of the Committee assist in the Center's fundraising and act as liaisons to performance groups and performing arts centers throughout the nation.
