Statement by the Press Secretary

The White House announced today that Lisa Caputo, Press Secretary to the First Lady, will be leaving the White House to become Vice President of Corporate Communications for CBS Incorporated.

"Lisa has served as my Press Secretary since August of 1992. She has been a tireless voice for the issues that this Administration has championed, an able adviser, a great friend to me and the President and a great public servant. I will miss her greatly," stated First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The White House also announced that Marsha Berry will be named Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Communications for the First Lady and Neel Lattimore will be named Special Assistant to the President and Press Secretary to the First Lady. Berry is currently National Press Secretary to Senator Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.). Lattimore has served as Deputy Press Secretary to the First Lady since 1993. Karen Finney and Steven Cohen will continue to serve as Deputy Press Secretaries to the First Lady.
