         PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES JEFFREY ORSECK AS A MEMBER OF THE
                    PANAMA CANAL CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE

President Clinton today announced his intent to appoint Jeffrey Orseck of Florida as a member of the Panama Canal Consultative Committee.

Mr. Orseck, a nationally board certified civil trial lawyer, is currently president of the Law Offices of Jeffrey Orseck, PA, a litigation firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is also lecturing attorney for the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Academy Florida Trial Lawyers. Previously, Mr. Orseck served as assistant state attorney for the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Broward County, Florida and as adjunct professor of law at the Nova University Law School. He is a member of the board of directors of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. Mr. Orseck earned his bachelor's degree in international trade and transportation from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and his law degree from the Fordham University Law School in New York, N.Y.
