STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY

Visit by Shaykh al-Sabah of Kuwait

The President has invited His Highness Shaykh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, to visit Washington for a working visit on February 28, 1996. The fifth anniversary of Kuwait's liberation by the Gulf War Coalition is a fitting time for the two leaders to consult on important matters in the Gulf region and beyond. Shaykh al-Sabah will also meet with Cabinet officers during his visit to Washington on February 28 and 29, 1996.
