STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY

Anthony Lake, Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, departed Washington today for consultations with senior officials in the Republic of Korea and Japan. Mr. Lake looks forward to discussions with these two key allies on a wide range of bilateral and multilateral issues. Mr. Lake will be in Korea from February 3 to 6 and in Japan from February 6 to 8, returning to Washington on Feburary 8.
