         PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES JODY L. WILLIAMS AS MEMBER OF
                     UTAH CONSERVATION COMMISSION

President Clinton announced today his intent to appoint Jody L. Williams of Utah to serve as a Member of the Utah Reclamation Mitigation and Conservation Commission.

Ms. Williams is an attorney with the Salt Lake City law firm of Kruse, Landa & Maycock where she specializes in water, natural resources, energy and wildlife law. Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Williams was an attorney with PacifiCorp, formerly Utah Power & Light Company. Ms. Williams maintains membership in several local and national conservation organizations. She is past chair of the Utah Wildlife Board and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Utah Wildlife Federation.

As a Member of the Utah Reclamation Mitigation and Conservation Commission, Ms. Williams will work with the other four members of the commission to coordinate the implementation of the mitigation and conservation measures of the Central Utah Project Completion Act of 1992 between federal and state fish, wildlife and recreation agencies.
