PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES JOHN H. DAVIDSON AS A MEMBER OF THE WESTERN WATER POLICY REVIEW ADVISORY COMMISSION

President Clinton today announced his intent to appoint John H. Davidson of South Dakota, to serve as a Member of the Western Water Policy Review Advisory Commission.

Mr. Davidson is a Professor of Law at the University of South Dakota. He teaches courses in water law, public lands law, environmental law and property law. In addition, he has written widely in these fields, including books on agricultural law and environmental law. Mr. Davidson was admitted to the bar in 1967, and has been working in South Dakota since 1971.

The Western Water Policy Review Advisory Commission was authorized as part of the Reclamation Projects Authorization and Adjustment Act of 1992, and is charged with reviewing activities that affect the allocation and use of water resources in 19 Western States.
