PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES KENNETH L. SALAZAR AS A MEMBER OF THE WESTERN WATER POLICY REVIEW ADVISORY COMMISSION President Clinton today announced his intent to appoint Kenneth L.
Salazar of Colorado to serve as a Member of the Western Water Policy Review Advisory Commission.
Mr. Salazar is an environmental and water resources attorney with the Denver law firm of Parcel, Mauro, Hultin, and Spaanstra where he specializes in water and natural resources law. He is the former Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, a position he held from 1990-1994. Mr. Salazar served as Chief Legal Advisor to Governor Roy Romer from 1986-1990. A native of Colorado, Mr. Salazar has been active in his family farm operation in Conejos County, Colorado all his life.
The Western Water Policy Review Advisory Commission was authorized as part of the Reclamation Projects Authorization and Adjustment Act of 1992, in order to review Federal activities that affect the allocation and use of water resources in 19 Western States.
