PRESIDENT NAMES D.W. BRANSOM JR. AS U.S. MARSHAL FOR THE NORTHERN

DISTRICT OF TEXAS

The President today announced his intent to nominate D.W. Bransom to be the U.S. Marshal for the northern district of the state of Texas for a four year term.

Bransom brings to his new position a strong background both in law enforcement and the private sector. Since 1990, he has been the Chief of Police for the city of River Oaks, Texas. For nearly 20 years D.W. Bransom served his community as a police officer in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition, Bransom was the president of his own firm, Bransom Floor Services of Fort Worth, Texas for seven years.

D.W. Bransom, born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1937, received an associate degree in applied science and law enforcement from Tarrant County Junior College. He currently resides in River Oaks, Texas and is married with three children and five grandchildren.
