      STATEMENT BY THE WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY ON THE VISIT OF
                     ALBANIAN PRESIDENT SALI BERISHA

President Clinton has invited Albanian President Sali Berisha to make a working visit to Washington on Sept. 11. President Berisha has accepted the invitation. The discussions between the two leaders will include Albania's progress in instituting democratic and market economic reforms, Albania's role in promoting stability in the troubled Balkan region and bilateral security and economic cooperation.
