      STATEMENT BY THE WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY ON THE VISIT OF
                   LUXEMBOURG PRIME MINISTER JUNCKER

Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has accepted the President's invitation to pay a working visit to Washington on Aug. 7. As a founding member of both NATO and the European Union, Luxembourg is a valued partner in Europe. The President looks forward to discussing economic and security issues with the Prime Minister of one of the United States' close allies.
