PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES DWIGHT P. ROBINSON AS DEPUTY SECRETARY OF HUD
President Clinton today announced his nomination of Dwight P. Robinson as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Mr. Robinson currently serves as President of the Government National Mortgage Association (Ginnie Mae). He previously served as Director of the Single Family Affordable Housing Initiatives Department of Freddie Mac and is the former Deputy Director of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority.
As Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Robinson will assist Secretary Henry Cisneros in the discharge of Secretarial duties and responsibilities and will serve as Acting Secretary in the absence of the Secretary.
