STATEMENT BY ABNER J. MIKVA, COUNSEL TO THE PRESIDENT

Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr conducted interviews today at the White House with President and Mrs. Clinton. As the President has previously announced, he and Mrs. Clinton are cooperating fully with the Independent Counsel. The interviews were conducted under oath. At the request of the Independent Counsel, no further statement about the content of the interviews will be made at this time.
