                  PRESIDENT NAMES PETER CHASE NEUMANN TO 
                    THE TAHOE REGIONAL PLANNING AGENCY

     The President today announced his intent to appoint Peter Chase

Neumann of Nevada as a Member of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency.

Mr. Neumann, a prominent attorney in the Reno-Tahoe area for twenty-five years, has served on the boards of Nevada Common Cause, Nevada Professionals Against Child Abuse, Newlands Neighborhood Association, Institute for Injury Reduction, Nevada Soaring Association, and numerous trial lawyer boards.

As a Member of the Agency, Mr. Neumann will encourage the wise use and conservation of the waters of Lake Tahoe and of the resources of the area surrounding the lake. The agency has jurisdiction over Lake Tahoe, the adjacent parts of Douglas and Washoe counties and Carson City, Nevada, and the adjacent counties of Placer and El Dorado in California.
