VICE PRESIDENT GORE MEETS WITH IRISH PRIME MINISTER SPRING

Vice President Al Gore met with Irish Foreign Minister Dick Spring Tuesday (2/28) at the White House. Foreign Minister Spring briefed the Vice President on the recently released Joint Framework Document and on the peace process in Northern Ireland. Vice President Gore reiterated the U.S. Government's support for efforts by the Governments of Ireland and the United Kingdom to bring all parties to accept a just and lasting settlement to the conflict in Northern Ireland.
