PRESIDENT NAMES DWOSKIN TO SECURITIES BOARD
The President today announced his intent to nominate Albert J. Dwoskin of Virginia to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Securities Investors Protection Corporation.
Mr. Dwoskin is President of A. J. Dwoskin and Company, a firm which constructs, manages and leases shopping centers and apartment projects in northern Virginia and Maryland. He also owns and serves as a director of Chain Bridge Securities, a broker-dealer that offers investors interests in real estate partnerships.
The Board governs the operations of the Corporation, which administers a fund for limited customer protection against financial failures of broker-dealers who are members of the Corporation. The SIPC Fund, which exceeds $720 million, is derived from the assessments imposed on its members.
