President Clinton today announced the appointment of George F. Dixon from Cleveland, Ohio, to the Federal Advisory Committee on Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Personal Motor Vehicles.

Mr. Dixon is currently with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority.

The Federal Advisory Committee on Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Personal Motor Vehicles is an unprecedented effort to bring together auto industry representatives, environmentalists, state and local officials, and other interested parties to develop recommendations for cutting greenhouse gas emissions from cars and light trucks well into the next century.
