            PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES JEWELL JACKSON McCABE TO 
                       HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL MUSEUM

President Clinton today announced his intention to appoint Jewell Jackson McCabe to be a member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.

Ms. Jackson McCabe is President of Jewell Jackson McCabe Associates, Inc., a strategic planning and communications consulting firm. She is also the Chair and Founder of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women and previously served as Director of Public Affairs for the New York Urban Coalition.

The Council was established in 1979 to provide for the annual commemoration of the Days of Remembrance and to construct and operate a permanent living memorial museum to the victims of the Holocaust.

The Museum was dedicated April 22, 1993.
