          PRESIDENT NAMES ROBERT G. VALENTINE AS MEMBER OF THE 
        UTAH RECLAMATION MITIGATION AND CONSERVATION COMMISSION

President Clinton today announced his intention to appoint Robert G. Valentine as a Member of the Utah Reclamation Mitigation and Conservation Commission.

Mr. Valentine is Director of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, and as prescribed by statute, has been recommended by Utah Governor Michael Leavitt to serve. He is the Chairman of the Utah Wildlife Board, Utah Wetlands Foundation and Director at Large of the Utah Wildlife Federation.

The Utah Reclamation Mitigation and Conservation Commission was established in October of 1992 by an act of Congress for the purpose of coordinating activities of federal and Utah state agencies engaged in certain environmental projects within the State of Utah.
