PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES TWO TO THE UNITED STATES TAX COURT

President Clinton announced today the nominations of Maurice B. Foley and Juan F. Vasquez to the United States Tax Court.

Maurice Foley, 34, is currently Deputy Tax Legislative Counsel in the Treasury Department's office of Tax Policy. He received a LLM from Georgetown University, J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley and B.A. from Swarthmore College.

Juan Vasquez, 46, is currently a sole practitioner in San Antonio, Texas. He received a LLM from New York University, J.D. from the University of Houston, and B.A. from the University of Texas in Austin.

Maurice B. Foley is nominated to the seat vacated by Judge Charles E. Clapp, II and Juan F. Vasquez is nominated to take the seat vacated by Judge Perry Shields.
