Statement by the Press Secretary

The White House today announced that Jeff Eller, Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Media Affairs will be leaving in September to join the Austin, Texas consulting firm, McKinnon Media. The firm will be renamed, McKinnon, Eller and Ranne.

"From the earliest days of my campaign for President thru our first year and a half in the White House, Jeff has served with dedication and uncompromising loyalty. He played a vital role in redefining the technological means used to communicate my policies and programs and I will miss his service and counsel," said the President.

"I will always treasure the opportunity I have had to serve the President of the United States, it has been a high honor and a privilege. This decision was the toughest I have ever made. I am leaving good friends and co-workers along with great memories, " Eller said.

Eller, 38, is a native of Arcadia, Indiana.
