         PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES LUISE S. JORDAN AS INSPECTOR 
     GENERAL OF THE CORPORATION FOR NATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE

President Clinton today announced his intention to nominate Luise S. Jordan as Inspector General of the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Ms. Jordan is a Senior Manager in the Office of Government Services of Price Waterhouse in Washington, DC. In this capacity, she serves as an advisor to staff performing audits of Federal agencies. She also coordinates company responses to Federal accounting and auditing issues and proposes revisions to audit methodologies to comply with new requirements for audits in the Federal sector. Prior to joining Price Waterhouse, Ms. Jordan was Assistant Director in the Financial Audit Group of the U.S. General Accounting Office from 1976-1977 and again from 1984-1991. While with the General Accounting Office, Ms. Jordan directed audits at Federal Departments including a full-scope audit at the Department of Agriculture and an audit of compensation and pensions programs at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Ms. Jordan has served in the private sector as a Manager of General Accounting with CSX Corporation and as Senior Auditor with Deloitte & Touche in Baltimore, Maryland.

Ms. Jordan earned a B.S. (magna cum laude) in Accounting from the University of Maryland. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Maryland as well as a Certified Fraud Examiner.
