                PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES THREE MEMBERS OF
      THE UTAH RECLAMATION MITIGATION AND CONSERVATION COMMISSION

        The President today announced his intention to appoint three

Members of the Utah Reclamation Mitigation and Conservation Commission.

Hugh H. Hogle is a surgeon, and a member of several wildlife and conservation groups. He was honored as the Utah Conservationist of the Year for 1989.

Wayne Owens, a former Congressman from Utah, was the sponsor of the legislation which formed the Commission.

Robert K. Nelson, is Public Affairs Officer for the Utah National Guard, a member of several in-state conservation and wildlife groups.

The Utah Reclamation Mitigation and Conservation Commission was established in October 1992 by an act of Congress for the purpose of coordinating activities of federal and Utah state agencies engaged in certain Utah environmental projects. Pursuant to the Reclamation Projects Authorization and Adjustments Act, funding is authorized for operational costs in the Fiscal Year 1994 budget.
