PRESIDENT CLINTON NAMES ALAN DIAMONSTEIN TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE NATIONAL CORPORATION FOR HOUSING PARTNERSHIPS
The President today announced his intent to nominate Alan Diamonstein to the Board of Directors of the National Corporation for Housing Partnerships.
The Board of Directors of the National Corporation for Housing Partnerships oversees the activities of the Corporation relating to the construction, rehabilitation and acquisition of housing for the benefit of families and individuals of low or moderate income. The Corporation encourages maximum participation by private investors in these various programs and projects.
Alan Diamonstein is a partner in the law firm of Diamonstein and Staley in Newport News, Virginia. He is a native and resident of Newport News and a graduate of the University of Virginia. Prior to completing his undergraduate studies, he did a tour with the United States Air Force. After receiving his B.S. in Commerce, he received a LL.B. degree at the University of Virginia Law School. He is currently a member of numerous associations and boards including the Board of Directors for the War Memorial, the Southern Regional Education Board Legislative Advisory Council and the Board of the Virginia Police Foundation, Inc.. He is also the current Chairman of the Virginia Housing Study Commission..
